Michaels Title & Escrow is a full-service title company in Maryland. We offer title insurance and real estate closing services to loan officers, realtors and lenders. Michaels Title conducts settlements in MD, DC and VA. They have offices in Rockville, Frederick and Columbia. In 2011, Michaels Title was awarded the prestigious “Best of Rockville” for Real Estate. To better assist our diverse clientele, the title company has full time employees who are fluent in Spanish, Bulgarian and Mandarin Chinese. The new Michaels Law Building hosts a satellite office (dedicated conference room) for real estate agents to meet with clients, draft a contract, make copies or view listings on its 40” flat screen wall monitor.

Jill Pogach Michaels, Esq.
Jill Pogach Michaels, the managing partner and founder of The Law Offices of Jill Pogach Michaels and Michaels Title and Escrow, began her legal career as a litigator for one of the region’s most prestigious law firms, Saul Ewing. She graduated with Honors from The George Washington School of Law in DC. Ms. Michaels is licensed to practice law in Maryland, DC, and the US District Court of Maryland. The Law Offices now has several attorneys and staff fluent in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Hebrew, Korean, Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese. In June 2007, the firm pioneered the practice of loss mitigation for homeowners and has successfully negotiated countless short sales throughout the DC Metropolitan region. Our team of top attorneys continues to have tremendous success obtaining loan modifications, motions to stay and other foreclosure defense, general litigation as well as residential and commercial contract leases and disputes. Michaels Title & Escrow conducts residential and commercial settlements in MD, DC & VA.
In 2016, Ms. Michaels received the Client Distinction Award and was recognized as one of the Top Lawyers in Maryland for highest in ethical standards and professional excellence in 2013, 2015 and 2016. She is a proud member and active participant in the Greater Capital Area (GCAAR) and Prince Georges County (PGCAR) Associations of Realtors.® Ms. Michaels was named GCAAR Affiliate of the Year for her valuable teaching, training and dedication. She has served on the GCAAR and PGCAR Education Committees, and the Contracts and Clauses Committees, whose role is to draft and revise the contracts for real estate agents in MD & DC. She also served on the Property Management Committee for GCAAR. Ms. Michaels instructs hundreds of Realtors® on The Maryland and NAR Code of Ethics and conducts New Member Orientation for GCAAR members.
Ms. Michaels teaches continuing education for lawyers on real estate, loss mitigation and foreclosure defense for the Maryland and County Bar Associations. Most, she taught a joint Family Law and Real Property Sections course on loss mitigation. Ms. Michaels most recently was published in the July 2013 issue of the Maryland Bar Journal for an article entitled, “2013: Practical Implications of Short Sales and Loss Mitigation.” In 2013, she was honored with serving as a panelist for the Montgomery County Housing Opportunity Commission, along with fellow panelist, a Senior Business Manager and Attorney for Fannie Mae National Servicing on foreclosure and loss mitigation.
It is Ms. Michaels’ belief that helping others in a meaningful way through dedicating firm resources and time is vital to the practice of law and the community. She does this by making regular donations to individuals in need, non-profit organizations, and through free legal work for destitute individuals. Ms. Michaels and her firm were featured for Excellence in Foreclosure Prevention and her participation in the Maryland Pro Bono Foreclosure Prevention Project in the Maryland Bar Journal. She also serves pro bono as in house counsel and on boards for non-profit organizations.

Meredith is the executive assistant to Jill Michaels, at The Law Offices of Jill Pogach Michaels & Michaels Title and Escrow.
Meredith brings top-notch customer service, support and incentive. A Washington D.C. native, Meredith graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in from Salisbury University. In her prior career, she quickly became a seasoned Graphic Designer for ad agencies and boutique print shops. Later, her love and enthusiasm for design followed her to Philadelphia where she began working at a high-end event planning and catering company. There she flourished as an event planner, executing weddings, corporate and social events throughout the tri-state area and Main Line.
As her journey in Philadelphia transitioned to a move back to the Washington area, Meredith was soon offered a career in the real estate and title industry. She seized the opportunity to once again meet a new challenge. Her singular drive and talent make her an invaluable asset to the law firm and title company.

Francine is the welcoming voice you hear when calling the Law Offices of Jill P. Michaels and Michaels Title and Escrow. She handles the high volume of calls with care and professionalism. She is a highly motivated Receptionist with over 20 years of experience which includes customer service, team supervision and front-of-the-house management, all of which have prepared her for the day to day tasks of a busy and exciting office environment to ensure that every clients interaction is positive and professional. Francine is also a Kaplan University graduate and holds a license as a Medical Assistant.
